Each one of these owls has its own personality, some are shy and others aggressive. You can stand close to all the owls. The owl handler will give you all the information about their owls e.g where it comes from in the world and what they live on. Some are nocturnal and some diurnal
Workshop
This workshop is designed to help you put your skills together looking at exposure, exposure compensation and white balance and get some amazing images of these magnificent owls.
The workshop will consist of five owls for the day, selected from the list below. Each owl will be taken to a wooded area within the location of the Bird of Prey Centre and placed in a suitable perched location, each owl will be photographed in its natural surroundings.
Great grey owl, short-eared owl, long-eared owl, barn owl, tawny owl, little owl, snowy owl, Ural owl, and more,
Please note some owls may not be available at the time of your workshop. We cannot guarantee any owls availability. They could be unwell or in moult, The handlers are sole judges of an owls fitness to be photographed on the day
In the case of inclement weather, the workshop will be re-scheduled

This is a seasonal workshop March to October and makes a great gift voucher for birthdays and Christmas with dates to suit you.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required when booking your place, the balance to be paid one month before the workshop commences. For bookings within one month of visit, 100% of the costs to be paid when booking.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the booking,
The reservation is made when the deposit has been received from you and the booking is confirmed via email from Ron McCombe Wildlife Photography.
Deposits paid are not refundable, the balance for the December workshop is due on the 1st of October 2024, and for the January Workshop on the 1st of November 2024. Unless a cancellation notice is received before this date, the balance will remain payable and due. It is your responsibility to take out travel insurance to cover the cost in case of sickness and unforeseen eventualities, eg. extreme weather.
We do not cover any change/cancellation/refunds due to the impact of the illness, cancellation, etc. This should be managed through the guests' travel insurance.
Ron McCombe shall not be liable for any circumstance caused by Force Majeure events such as snowfall, storms, icy roads, strikes, lockdowns, pandemics, collisions, or delays on trains, ferries, or busses. accidents on our tours, We accept no responsibility or liability conditions beyond our control.
All our guests are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of others. If in our opinion, your behaviour or that of any member of your party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any other guests or any third party, or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate your booking with us immediately. In the event of such termination, our liability to you and/or your party will cease and you and/or your party will be required to leave your accommodation or other arrangements immediately. We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party. No refunds for lost accommodation or any other arrangements will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination.
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid directly at the time to the accommodation owner. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other party’s full legal costs) as a result of your actions
We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behaviour of other guests or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us
