Burchell’s Starling

Distinguished from other glossy-blue starlings by its large size, dark eyes and long broad tail with a rounded tip. Usually alone, in pairs or in pairs or in small groups. A conspicuous bird which often perches on treetops, but forages on the ground, especially in short grass. Lives in trees and thickets and lives on a diet of insects, other terrestrial invertebrates, fruit and berries
